SAP Business Objects Version 4 Deployment

QuantumIT work with SAP to deploy SAP Business Objects Version 4 to one of the first Victorian customers.

The deployment involved automating the client's HR and finance reporting processes via ad-hoc reporting capability. The government department's current reporting process involved the use of manually compiled spreadsheets that is time consuming has been prone to incorrect information and reports being produced, due to human error.
 
In order to alleviate the impact of information/data inconsistencies in departments Finance and HR reports as well as the time consumed to produced these reports, it was decided by the department that a reporting system be established that:

• Adequately automates multi-source data amalgamation and consolidation process procedures to produce Finance and HR reports
• Minimises the use and reliance of human resources to operate the system from a technical or business perspective, and
• Provides the departments Finance and HR groups with ad-hoc reports generation capability
